SJWF 3GN Annual Trophy Match tests competitors with 10 stages, long-range and a 3GN Classifier.
The 2019 San Juan Wildlife Federation (SJWF) 3-Gun Nation Annual Trophy Match takes place June 28-29. Moreover, the match consists of 10 stages, two including long-range presentations, along with one 3GN Classifier.
The SJWF 3GN Trophy Match is scheduled as a one day match. Additionally, match staff will compete on June 28. Meanwhile, the remaining competitors compete the following day, June 29.
The match fee is $95 until June 1 ($125 thereafter), which includes a lunch on match day. Estimated round count includes 150 rifle, 200 handgun, 175 birdshot, eight buckshot and four slugs. Unlimited, Practical and Factory divisions will be recognized.
“This match is our local ‘championship’ match and annual fundraiser,” said SJWF match director Steven White. “We have participants from other parts of the state like Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Texas. We award “trophies” in Divisions, Classes and Categories, and we also have a prize table which is awarded by lottery rather than by match placement. (Last) year our top prizes were a Springfield Saint AR-15, a Columbia River Arms AR barrel received from the 3GN program, and a Bar-Sto Custom pistol barrel. Altogether there were approximately $2,500 worth of prizes on the table.”
SJWF awards trophies based on the number of shooters in each division or class. Additionally, a trophy for every three shooters in the same division or class, to a maximum of three trophies, will be awarded. Also, trophies may consist of traditional trophies, paper certificates, cash awards or prizes, depending on the level of shooter participation and sponsor support. Special categories will include High Lady, High Junior, High Senior and High Law Enforcement.
