Great stages, prizes and tons of fun make up this new 3-Gun Point Series from 3GN Club OSC
Outdoor Sportsman’s Club (OSC), in Bellefonte, PA, is running a 3-Gun point series through the remainder of its season in October. Awarding points for both stage and overall finishes, and with several matches remaining, there is plenty of time to join the 3-Gun fun at OSC.
“Instead of trying to set up a bigger ‘prize match’ this year, we decided to do a points series,” said Marc McMaster, OSC Match Director. “I thought it would reward people for consistency in showing up instead of just coming to one match and winning prizes. Points are awarded by finish, 11 points for first, 10 for second, nine for third, etc. You also get five points for a stage win. Assuming weather is still good into October, there will be four matches left. There is a potential for a maximum of 36-41 points per match, depending on the number of stages, so someone could easily still be competitive this year. I think the current points leader only has 26 points after two matches.”
A 3-Gun Nation Club, OSC Club Series matches typically feature stages incorporating substantial movement, along with Classifiers as well. Round counts typically require 150 pistol, 100 rifle, 150 birdshot and 10 slugs. New shooters are encouraged to come out and give OSC 3-Gun a try!

And for those that can make multiple matches throughout the remainder of the season, there might just be some cool prizes for the taking!
“We’re still accumulating prizes, there will at a minimum be trophies for the first three places, and I know we already have a Columbia River Arms barrel (via the 3GN Club Series Barrel Program), McMaster said. “We’re still working on some sponsors for other prizes.”
To help promote the point series further, 3-Gun Nation is pledging a free slot to this season’s upcoming 3GN Nationals, taking place Nov. 9-11 at The Clinton House in Clinton, SC.
With great prizes, several remaining matches, and great stages on the ground, there’s never been a better time to get in the game with 3GN at OSC!
“I think the shooters are enjoying it,” McMaster said. “Spread over five or six matches, it really makes it anyone’s game, especially if some of the better shooters miss some matches, which has already happened, so those points are being spread out.”
The next OSC 3-Gun match is Sunday, July 22. For more information, visit OSC.
