North Alabama Shooting Association’s Intro to Competition Shooting Course takes place June 16 in Tuscumbia, and is free to the public
3-Gun Nation Club North Alabama Shooting Association (NASA) will hold a one-day Intro to Competition Shooting, Saturday, June 16, at 1 PM. The course is free to the public.
Course topics will include the basics of IDPA, USPSA and 3-Gun, including what competitors should expect at their first match, safety rules for most competition formats, and scoring.
Students should bring a chair, water, pistol and holster, 30 rounds of ammunition, along with eye and ear protection. This course will mainly focus on discussion and demonstration, however students will have the opportunity to run through a sample stage. The course is being run by Jody Tippett, a 3-Gun Nation certified range officer and match director at NASA 3-Gun.
3-Gun Nation is supporting the course by offering a free membership to any first-time, non-3GN members. Also, one lucky student will have the chance to win a free slot in the upcoming 3GN Midwest Regional Championship, presented by NRA Sports.
